i decided to update my pickup form a little, now im a Ram T-Rex. a VERY rare truck, though in RL its a concept form 1996, but i saw this on Test Drive Off-Road 2; and i fell in love with it.

Most trucks have a rear tandem axle for load bearing applications. I just got 1 question, what is the practical application of this specific truck having a tandem rear axle, does it actually improve off road performance, or is there more to this truck that I'm not aware of?
It is a little bit difficult to tell for your rendition, but I am assuming that this truck uses some heavy duty military grade axles and suspension, judging by the drawing itself.
